10th CONVOCATION

The 10th Convocation of Deccan College Postgraduate and Research Institute took place on 10th October 2016. Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, Chancellor, Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research, CSIR- National Chemical Laboratory Pune, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In total 109 students ( 17 belonging to MA Linguistics, 45 belonging to MA AIHC and Archaeology, 13 belonging to MA in Sanskrit and Lexicography, 6 belonging to P.G. Diploma in Archaeology, 22 belonging to Ph.D. in AIHC and Archaeology and 6 belonging to Ph.D. on Sanskrit and Lexicography) were conferred degrees on this very day. On this occasion, Honorary Degree of Doctor of Letters was also conferred to Dr. Roland Silva, Former Commissioner, Dept. of Archaeology, Sri Lanka and Founder Director General of the Central Cultural Fund. Dr. A P Jamkhedkar, Hon’ble Chancellor presided over the function.
